An old cartoon reminding us of the danger in giving in to the temptation a desperate public might feel to exchange their liberties and economic freedom for promises of security. Sound familiar? Just goes to show how much has been forgotten in the past 50 years. Are schools teaching anything these days besides self esteem?

A bit dated, perhaps, but the underlying lessons remain sound, Matt. (An interesting sidelight: 50 years ago, someone in Hollywood was apparently willing to stand up for the free enterprise system. Those were the days, all right.
