Like Queen Elizabeth in 2007 and President Obama a couple of days ago, Pope Benedict XVI launched his very own YouTube channel from the Vatican yesterday in a promising effort to make himself readily available to a younger, tech-savvy audience. And although he has certain reservations towards "new media," (they often "tivialize sex and promote violence"), he called social networking sites a "gift to humanity," but one that is not without its risks.
