For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ---Ephesians 6:12

Highly Anticipated Film, OCTOBER BABY, To Be Released This Month! Preview Included

Where to begin...  Okay, there is a new movie called October Baby that's being released October 25th in Mississippi and Alabama (early release) and then nationally in the Spring of 2012 that is certain to make waves and bring a lot of attention to the abortion issue.  This at a time when so much attention has been directed to that topic since the '08 presidential election.  The movie is about a teenage girl who finds out she was adopted as a baby after barely surviving an abortion attempt by her birth mother.  So she decides to seek out said birth mother and find answers.  In the process she learns many life lessons, as we can well imagine  (but there must be surprises here), and learns how to forgive.

If the story rings a bell, you might be thinking of Gianna Jessen, to whom we were introduced during that '08 presidential campaign as an abortion survivor, herself, as she campaigned against then-Senator Obama, who worked against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act (both as Illinois State Senator, himself making a speech against the bill on the floor of the Illinois legislature, and as Senator from Illinois in Washington DC for the national version.  Both bills passed and were signed into law.) which also brought Jill Stanek national attention, but I digress...  The film is loosely based upon Gianna's personal story, and it is a film that has, by her own account, been very cathartic for her.  Thank God.

A big hat tip goes to Lisa Graas, who is a contributor to Live Action.  Be sure to watch the preview below (expect to have your heartstrings pulled, THIS IS A POWERFUL FILM), and please stick around for the message from the two producers of this film.

Black Genocide In America: New Video

The number of African-Americans in the US in 2010 according to the Census is 42 Million (includes black and mixed race), which makes up 13.6% of the total US population.  However, it is estimated that since 1973, more than 15 million African-American babies have been killed in the womb.  Those aborted black babies make up almost 36% of today's population of blacks in America.

Most Republicans are aware of these figures and are fighting to end abortion, while most Democrats, who have no excuse not to know these stats, are trying to make the "service" more available in minority areas.  So why do African-Americans keep voting Democrat???  It's a mystery.

The cool video above was created by the National Black Pro-life Coalition.

Abort73 Video: Excellent Work!

Abort73 asks the question that many still struggle with regarding the abortion issue:  "At what point does it become wrong to intentionally destroy a human being?"

After displaying the statistic that most people are comfortable with aborting babies in the first trimester, developmental photos and videos are shown.  A very strong visual and evidentual case is made to ban abortion at all stages of pregnancy.  Watch and see!

"Young People Aren't The Future Of The Pro-Life Movement. They ARE The Pro-Life Movement": VIDEO

In this video it is said that the young people aren't simply the future of the pro-life movement, they ARE the pro-life movement.  After attending the two most recent March For Life rallies in Washington DC, I can attest to that statement.  Both marches were teaming with enthusiastic young people, eager to grab the banners and take the lead.  The future is golden for this movement.

CatholicVote.org video: Abby Johnson Has A Story To Tell...

CatholicVote.org is co-sponsoring this ad which is now playing in the Washington DC markets.  Wouldn't it be nice to have it played in ALL the major markets?  They are taking donations THERE now just to keep the ad playing in Washington.  Any size donation will help.

By the way, Abby Johnson has not only converted to the pro-life movement, but she will also be entering the Cahtolic Church on Easter Vigil!

A Shoe-In For The 2011 Expose Planned Parenthood Contest (VIDEO)

Here's a very cool and informative video I found on YouTube, which is listed as an official entry for the 2011 Expose Planned Parenthood contest.  I expect it to finish very well.

New CatholicVote.Org Video Shows Planned Parenthood Supporters In Their Self-Loathing Splendor

It has been a while or two since I last posted, and not for lack of motivation.  I just haven't had the time, and don't really have much now.  But I could not resist posting this (or any other) CatholicVote.com video, as they are so darned good....each and every time.  This is no exception.

Back in February in Chicago, the home of the most pro-abortion president in this nation's history, Planned Parenthood put on a little rally in favor of federal funding for baby-killing.  The crowd it drew would make Larry Flint blush.  Okay, maybe not him but you get the point.  CatholicVote.org found several participants who not surprisingly were morally confused, self-loathing, and even hate-filled.  Imagine that...at a pro-abortion rally.  One guy toward the end of the video even thinks I should pay to raise his unplanned children!  Though I'm sure that not all of those who support abortion rights are like those shown in the video, it's clear who Planned Parenthood's champions are.

The abusive language, of which there is plenty, was bleeped out for our sakes.  Thanks.  Enjoy.

BTW, welcome Wizbang and Brutally Honest readers!

Lila Rose Said More To Come: Here It Is-- Planned Parenthood in Virginia Enabling Sex Traffickers

This is the second undercover sting video of several yet to be released showing Planned Parenthood offering to help pimps successfully traffic their prostitutes, even underage girls!

The counselor at the Planned Parenthood in Central New Jersey has been fired.  I would expect the same fate for this one and more to come...

Planned Parenthood receives over $300 million per year in federal funding.  Call your Congressman, even if he/she is pro-abortion, and demand the funding be stopped!

Shocking New Video Of Planned Parenthood Aiding Underage Sex Trafficking

If this doesn't get Congress to finally DEFUND Planned Parenthood, then I cannot imagine what will.  ACORN was guilty of lesser acts, though not by much, and Congress acted on that.

In a nutshell, Live Action Films' undercover video above shows a very helpful but positively jaded Central New Jersey Planned Parenthood counselor offering a pimp and his prostitute a way to acquire secret STD testing and abortions for their under-age gaggle of hookers.  Then the counselor helps them out by giving them business advice on running a more efficient operation, and even refers to herself as a "partner in crime."

It is quite clear that in all of Lila Rose's undercover videos (which I have posted numerously HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and even HERE) have shown that the blurring of lines between ethical vs. unethical as well as legal vs. illegal is happening all over the country in Planned Parenthood clinics.  I have no doubt that the counselors believe they are doing some sort of good service for these people; but after killing so many human beings they have clearly lost focus on what is right and what the rest of us see so clearly is wrong, and have pushed the line to the point of involving themselves in other crimes as well.  Congress needs to act now!

We should not hate these abortionists for what they do.  They are deceived by Satan into thinking that WE are the bad ones and the oppressors, and that advancing their agenda by any means necessary is a good thing.  Bishop Hermann of St. Louis explained the trap we can fall into by hating them, which would lead us, too, into the culture of death.  We must educate, minister to, and pray for these people to convert to Christ, see the evil of their ways, and to join us in eradicating this anathema of abortion once and for all.

"CHOICE" Is A Euphemism, And It's All They Have Left In Their Arsenal

Back in the pre-Civil-War days of the mid 19th Century, whenever northerners would travel past the Mason-Dixon Line to visit friends and/or relatives at their plantations, the subject of slavery was strictly taboo in polite conversation.  Euphemisms would be used referring to slaves as "servants," "helpers," or simply..."boy."  The culture shock of this on the northerners must have been very difficult to keep to themselves, especially when they noticed how many of the slaves bore a stark, physical resemblance to the master of the house.  It was largely because of this "politeness" or political correctness that made slavery so easy to defend in the South.  It can be argued, IMHO, that had the truth in its appropriately ugly language been commonly used with slave owners to their faces, the shame of it all might have caused slavery to end sooner, and with much less bloodshed.  The South might have given it up voluntarily.

Today the nature of socially accepted barbarity rings familiar, as if we as a human race really haven't come that far from pre-Civil-War days.  Our society allows those who seek to keep the anathema of abortion "safe and legal" to refer to it as "CHOICE," rather than what it really is, MURDER of a child in the womb.  And as we all well know, the word "abortion," which is an accepted term by both sides of the issue is rarely used by those who defend the practice.

Today NARAL is having a pro-abortion blog bomb called "Blog for Choice Day," which "boils the blood" of Jill Stanek and MANY OTHERS, including me.  So Jill, a champion of the unborn, has quickly and successfully implemented ASK THEM WHAT THEY MEAN BY CHOICE blog day, on which I am participating with this post.  The pro-abortionists must be corrected in their deceitful choice of words.  Make them say what the so-called CHOICE is all about.  Thank you, Jill.  You do the Lord's work!

Stand Up For 50 Million Aborted Babies On Monday In DC

The video above shows the Westminster Cathedral Choir singing Lully, Lulla, Thou Little Tiny Child, which was written in the middle ages about the killing of the male babies in Bethlehem (Herod's attempt to slay the infant Jesus).  Although the Feast Of The Holy Innocents was on December 28th, I thought it appropriate to draw attention to it at this time as a reminder of the March For Life in Washington DC on January 24th, (Monday).  The March occurs every year to commemorate the anniversary of Roe v Wade, which was one of the worst examples of judicial legislating since Dred Scott v Sandford.  And you shouldn't need an imagination to see the parallels and symbolism between Herod's rampage against babies and the more than 50 million innocent children killed in their mother's wombs since Roe v Wade.

The Main Stream Media mostly ignores the march, in spite of the huge turnout, claiming off-hand that "there is some kind of march going on with an equal number of pro-choice and pro-life participants."  The truth of the numbers is that over 250,000 pro-lifers show up to march to the Supreme Court building where 30 to 50 pro-choicers await them.  Since no one except Fox News cares to accurately report the events, I for one, plan to show up with my camera and document as much as possible and post the evidence on this blog Monday night like I did last year.  If you can make it to DC to join us, by all means do so.  You'll meet a lot of interesting people and have quite a time.

Here are the lyrics to the above video:

Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child,
By, by, lully lullay,
Thou tiny little child,
By, by, lully lullay.

O sisters too,
How may we do
For to preserve this day
This poor youngling,
For whom we do sing,
By, by, lully lullay?

Herod, the king,
In his raging,
Charged he hath this day
His men of might,
In his own sight,
All young children to slay.

That woe is me,
Poor child for thee!
And ever morn and day,
For thy parting
Neither say nor sing
By, by, lully lullay!

Those Crazy Anti-Lifers. May God Convert Them All!

Things are starting to lighten up some around here, so now I can touch on a couple of stories that caught my attention:

First, from late last week a story HERE (<--click there) about a Brazilian supermodel who was pressured by a US modeling agency to have an abortion when she got pregnant her first time.  Fortunately, the better angels of her nature prevailed, and she had the child.... and another one since.  Her modeling career has NOT suffered!  God bless her and all those who resist such fear-inspired temptations.

Abortionist Boyle
Second, in Charleston, SC, an out of state (TN) abortionist pointed a loaded gun at several 40-Days-For-Life participants who were ministering outside the largest abortuary in SC, as he exited his car.  Click HERE for the full story,

Fortunately there was no accidental or intentional discharge of the firearm as the visiting abortionist, Gary Boyle, made his way inside the abortion mill.  Police were summoned in short order.  Boyle posted his $25,000 bond on Saturday.

This is not the first brush with authorities for Boyle on the issue of abortion.  Back in the 1990's he was caught operating an abortion mill without the required "certificate of need."

What kind of human being devotes his life to killing unborn children, legally or not?  I spent a few moments (life wasted) looking into the eyes of that individual's picture only to see fear and loathing.  I will continue to pray for his conversion and for the conversion of those like him.

VP Joe Biden Relishes Role As Disobedient Catholic On Abortion

It's really sad to see prominent Catholics ignore the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and support and/or encourage abortion.  The Catechism of the Catholic Church is quite clear in its position on the issue, as well as its importance in Catholic teaching.  Life begins at conception, and must be respected and cherished.  Period.

This clear-cut position, not shared by the United Methodist Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church, or Presbyterian Church, is spelled out in the Catechism from 2270 to 2275.  There is no wishy-washy, politically correct, gutless explanation for not taking a firm stand against killing the unborn in any Catholic teaching, which makes the existence of catholics like Vice President Joe Biden so puzzling.

President Obama has seen fit to fill his cabinet with several pseudo-catholics, all of whom share his draconian views on killing unborn children.  This dangerous precedent has brought the abortion issue to the forefront of the upcoming midterm election and is expected to sway voters, many of whom have come down on the pro-life side as of late.  And this makes VP Joe Biden's latest grab for the headlines so puzzling:  promising the African nation of Kenya that "money will flow" if their pro-abortion constitution passes.  Is this really the image our country wishes to export to the rest of the world?  Killing the innocent unborn?  Sounds like more ammunition for Muslim extremists.

Kathleen Gilbert has the story in LifeSiteNews.  Click HERE for it.

Oklahoma Ultrasound Law Suspended, Missouri Ultrasound Law On The Way

The Missouri State House voted 133-37 to approve a bill requiring ultrasounds for pregnant women seeking abortions, as well as making it a crime to coerce abortions at clinics like Planned Parenthood and others.  The bill faces an uphill battle when it gets to pro-abortion Governor Jay Nixon's desk unless the House and Senate can override him.

Meanwhile in Oklahoma, there has been a snag in a similar bill passed by both the State House and Senate, vetoed by Governor Brad Henry, but then passed into law three days later with overrides from both the House and Senate.

But now Oklahoma County District Judge Noma Gurich has challenged the legality of the law, temporarily suspending it 45 days pending the outcome of of what many believe to be a futile attempt to derail the law.

The pro-abortionists are full of fear at the current trends toward abolition of abortion, and consider any challenge to what they perceive as the "right to choose..." to be a path down a slippery slope, no matter how logical or sensible the challenge might be.

A great example of that is informed consent, not only of the expectant mother-to-be but to the parents of pregnant minors as well.  Every single pro-abortion person I've ever debated has said they don't feel comfortable with California-type parental consent laws, making it possible to hide the under-age pregnant daughter's "medical procedure" from her parents.  Yet none of them will stand against it when it's offered up for legislation.

The vast majority of so-called pro-choice Americans believe in at least some restrictions on abortions, ie., not after the first trimester, not simply as a form of birth control, etc..., but continue to elect politicians who have an all-or-nothing mentality, who create laws allowing and even promoting abortion anytime for any reason.

Could there be any other reason for even the most liberal, "pro-choice" politician to deny a law giving pregnant mothers all the information they need to make an informed choice?  A required ultrasound would force Planned Parenthood and abortion mills like them to be a little less dishonest toward their customers.

My First MARCH FOR LIFE in Washington D. C.

Today, in spite of the weather, I drove to Washington D.C. to partake in the 37th annual March For Life and had an experience like no other.  I saw an enthusiastic crowd in very large numbers totally devoted to the life cause, consisting largely of young, fresh faced people chanting, praying, laughing, and enjoying life to its fullest as they marched for their firmly held beliefs.

They came from Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and even from as far west as Kansas City, MO.  They all came for the same reason, to convince our lawmakers and Supreme Court justices to overturn Roe vs. Wade, and make abortion a thing of the past.  There were priests, bishops, lots of students, women who have had abortions and regretted them, Knights of Columbus, bloggers like myself, politicians, teachers, nurses, several nuns, and people from all walks of life, all who agree that abortion will go down in history along side American slavery and lynching of African-Americans as stains and blights on our nation.

There were some who disagreed, waiting for us on the other side of the Capitol Building, their numbers very few and kind of pathetic.  They were treated civilly, but dealt with in short order.  Their message was blocked by superior numbers, banners, logic, and reasoning.

After the March I headed over to the Senate office buildings to find Senators Specter and Casey.  Senator Spector was not in today (no surprise being he is pro-abortion) to receive the many visitors who stopped by.  I signed his guest book and left a not-so-friendly message, "Act like a man," in response to his treatment of Michelle Bachmann the other day.

When I stopped by Senator Casey's office I found he was not there either.  But there was a sign saying he was available to meet with pro-life people from 2:00 to 2:30pm today.  I found that amusing since the March started at 2pm and was in no way finished by 2:30.  What a clown!  I hope he isn't counting on being more than a one-term-wonder.  My message for him wasn't much nicer, as I was both tired and foot-sore.

As I was searching for the exit I heard a familiar voice from around the corner.  When I investigated I found Fox News' own Carl Cameron with his cameraman and equipment working on a news piece about Senator Mitch McConnell and campaign finance laws.  I waited until they were done and then tried to sneak a picture of him.  He noticed and said "hold on," as he set down his can of Red Bull, walked over to me and offered to have his cameraman take a picture of the two of us with my Sony.  "We do this all the time," Cameron said reassuringly.  And then several pictures were taken (See last photo below).  What a generous guy.  I rank him along side Ernie Banks and Bishop Rhoades when it comes to celebrity encounters.

All things considered, it was a very positive and productive day. I have the rest of the 159 pictures available now.  Click on this---> Flickr.

All of the pictures above and below were taken by me and my Sony DSC-F828.  And as usual, you can make each one larger by clicking on it.  Enjoy!

Senator Casey, We're Calling You Out!

Catholic Vote Action has released this ad today in the state of Pennsylvania to pressure our so-called, pro-life Democrat Senator, Bob Casey, into voting his alleged conscience and not support a health care bill that funds abortion.

Aside from NE Senator Ben Nelson, is there really such a thing as a pro-life Democrat?  NV Senator Harry Reid, a Democrat, has always run as a pro-lifer.  But by now his constituents must realize that he is not what he claims to be, and NV polls reflect that.  Senator Casey, up for re-election in '12 in PA would be wise to follow Reid's re-election bid in '10 closely.

The ad attack against Senator Casey is two-pronged, as can be seen by this other ad presented by the Susan B. Anthony List, showing a then and now comparison between strong pro-life positions taken by Governor Robert Casey Sr. and the potential sell-out-of-the-unborn by his Senator son, Robert Jr..

I discovered both of these ads on Jill Stanek's blog, along with a link to a personal letter by the head of the Susan B. Anthony List to Senator Casey.  Go to her blog and find the link for the letter by clicking HERE.

Senator Casey is claiming that faith leaders are supporting his alternative amendment to the latest health care bill fiasco (after the Nelson-Hatch-Casey Amendment failed), and cites the Catholic Health Association as one of its supporters.  It should be noted that as of this posting, Sr. Carol Keehan of the CHA has not seen the text of Casey's amendment, but only his outline of it.  In spite of this she claims to be confident that his amendment will insure no abortion funding.  Not so, says Senator Ben Nelson and other pro-life groups, including the USCCB who said the language will not stop funding for abortions.  Read the full story by clicking HERE.

Now it looks like Senator Reid is shifting his focus toward pressuring ME Senator Olympia Snowe.  Read that HERE.

Rosa Acuna Project Exposes Planned Parenthood's "Abortion-First Mentality"

Lila Rose has created some very indicting undercover videos of various Planned Parenthood locations around the country showing several statutory rape cover-ups by complicit PP staff members.  Now, starting with Planned Parenthood of Appleton, WI, Lila Rose has put together the Rosa Acuna Project, which documents Planned Parenthood's manipulative counseling and medical lies told in order to convince women in need that killing their unborn babies is their best option.  See below:

EVIDENCE OF COUNSELING ABUSE AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD CONTINUES TO SURFACE IN UNDERCOVER STUDENT VIDEO

Contact: Lila Rose, media@liveaction.org , (323)454-3304

Appleton, December 9 -- New undercover footage from an Appleton, WI Planned Parenthood abortion clinic shows clinic staff, including the abortion doctor, lying to two young women about fetal development and encouraging the one who is pregnant to obtain an abortion because "women die having babies."

In the undercover video, when the two women ask a Planned Parenthood counselor if the pregnant woman's 10-week-old unborn child has a heartbeat, the counselor emphasizes "heart tones," and answers, "Heart beat is when the fetus is active in the uterus--can survive--which is about seventeen or eighteen weeks." On the contrary, embryologists agree that the heartbeat begins around 3 weeks. Wisconsin informed consent law requires that women receive medically accurate information before undergoing an abortion.

Law & Order ---The Abortion Episode (entire show)

A few years ago I almost completely gave up on network TV.  It seemed that every time I watched any of the shows that at one time or another interested me in the past, my sensiblities were being offended by their mono-slant to the left.  There was no room for debate.  All Christians or even priests were hypocrites at best and pedophiles or murderers at worst, and anyone on the political right was a crack-pot.

But last month an episode of Law & Order drew the ire and spite of pro-abortionists who weren't comfortable with an uncharacteristically even-handed approach that could only hurt their cause.  So even though it's a month late, I've decided to post the entire episode of that program here in case, like me, you missed it the first time.  Just click on the "close to play" button first to make the annoying ad vanish from your sight.  Then enjoy the show.

2,000 Babies Saved From Abortion!

40 Days For Life has confirmed 2,000 mothers, who went to abortion clinics to terminate their pregnancies,  turned around and left with unborn children intact due to the efforts of over 200,000 people who cared.  And what did these people do?  Did they shout insults at the mothers?  No.  Did they attempt to physically restrain the women from entering the abortuary?  No.  They simply stood outside of the clinics en mass and prayed.  Most were adults standing silent vigil.  Some were children singing.  The efforts nationwide (and in a few other countries) paid off.

Read about it at LifeSiteNews.

Respect Life Month!

Not enough people in this country realize that October, already half over, is Respect Life Month.  And if you search your church bulletins you might find some interesting activities going on, such as the odd vigil outside an abortion clinic, for example.  It would be good to join in on the right side of the spiritual war and against the war waged by Planned Parenthood on the unborn by attending any of these you can.

I missed the one conducted by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades in York, PA on October 2nd because I was on the road.  But he was there along with the Knights of Columbus and 200+ faithful who proceeded from the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church to the local Planned Parenthood abortuary.  Together they prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary for the unfortunate pre-borns, who will never have the joys of drawing their first breaths and whose lives are ended without so much as a whimper.

I have included much of Bishop Rhoades' homily for the occasion found in Catholic Witness:

"The idea that every human being has an innate, inalienable and sacred dignity is not accepted by pro-choice activists.  The pro-choice arguments for abortion are based on a very dangerous and erroneous assumption that human rights are not inherent in the person but are assigned to the person by society.  I don't know if many pro-choice advocates actually philosophically consider their position.  Where do human rights come from?  Where does the right to life originate?  They are given by God, not by society.  Society and government have no right to deny these fundamental rights of the human person.  They are inherent in human beings as human beings.  They are not based on the person's race or color, on the person's age or health, or on the person's location within or outside the womb....

...Our teaching has always been and always will be a great yes to human life.  We support research and medical science which serves human life, which overcomes or corrects pathologies.  But we reject whatever involves the intentional destruction of human beings or which uses means that contradict the dignity of the human person.  Why such respect for human dignity?  Because each human being carries in an indelible way his or her own dignity and value.  It is not something given by society or by legislators.  It is innate.  This is what pro-choice advocates reject or ignore.  As followers of Christ, we also believe that at every stage of his or her existence, the human person, created in the image and likeness of God, also reflects the face of his only-begotten son.  We believe that God's love for every one of us, including our brothers and sisters in the womb, is boundless.  In the words of Pope Benedict and Pope John Paul II, 'human life is always a good, for it is a manifestation of God in the world, a sign of his presence, a trace of his glory.'"
