For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ---Ephesians 6:12

Pretty, Blonde Businesswoman Takes Obama To The Woodshed Over Lack Of Leadership In Economy

And the key word is LEADERSHIP.  As she states in the above video, Obama has shown NONE.  He blames everyone else for the mess he claims he inherited, and then goes on vacation.  WATCH THIS VIDEO.

Obama Executive Order Allowing Federal Funding of Embryonic Stem Cell Research STRUCK DOWN!

In March of 2009 President Obama signed an executive order allowing federal funding for embryonic stem cell research (embryonic destruction) and the expansion thereof.  Shortly after, a group which encourages adoption of frozen embryonic children known as Nightlight Christian Adoptions filed suit in federal court challenging the executive order.

Today, US District Court Judge for the District of Columbia, Royce Lamberth (pictured left) ruled that the executive order issued by President Obama clearly violated the "plain language" of the Dickey-Wicker amendment, which states that taxpayer money is not to fund research in which embryos are "destroyed, discarded, or knowingly subjected to risk of injury or death."

Hooray for the unborn!  While this, of course, won't solve the problems of abortion in America or our death-laden culture, it's always great to see a pro-abort-President stopped in his tracks.

Obama's National Debt Gimmicks Are Path To Ruin

I've been thinking about our country's ever-growing national debt of more than $12 trillion, and have wondered just how our politicians planned to deal with it.  The obvious would be to balance the budget year after year, while collecting additional revenue with which to gradually pay down the accumulated debt--> painful but simple, right?  Have you done the math?

Based upon the size of your average pocket calculator, most of which don't allow enough digits to enter the trillion category, I doubt many of you have.  But my iPhone has a calculator which, when turned horizontally, transforms itself from a simple basic layout of simple math into an advanced powerhouse of trigonometry and calculus.... and many more digits.  Like our economy, my iPhone can just barely hold 12 trillion.  It looks like this:  12,000,000,000,000.  That's right, twelve zeros in a trillion.

The next step is to figure out how much our Congress thinks they can raise, on average year after year above a balanced budget, in the amount of surplus revenue to start paying down the debt.  One must factor the likely boom years as well as the bust years, along with any wars, recessions, depressions, or big bull markets.  Most might say $10 billion.  I was feeling generous and chose $100 billion, which is an awful lot of money and therefore not very realistic considering the very nature of Washington politics and recent history.  So we will look at both figures just for argument's sake.

First, if you take $12,000,000,000,000 (12 trillion) and pay it down in increments of $100,000,000,000 (100 billion) each and every year, it will take us 120 years to pay off the national debt!

But if you only pay an average of $10,000,000,000 (10 billion) year after year, which is much more realistic but still high, it will take 1,200 years to pay it off!  And you know that if the budget is balanced and Congress manages to pay down the national debt by 50 Million, they'll be slapping themselves on the back and claiming the crisis is over.  Not so.

Paying off the national debt requires long term commitments and sacrifice.  And considering that long term thinking doesn't get anyone re-elected, only short term remedies on the path of least resistance do (IMHO), paying off the national debt will never come to pass.

What then will be done?

President Obama has signed a bill into law increasing the debt ceiling to just over $14 trillion, and by doing so has suggested that more borrowing is on the way.  He has done this in spite of the "pay-as-you-go" provision, which, of course, is nothing but a gimmick.  Money has to be spent, but first borrowed, in order to boost our economy and get more tax revenue pouring in (so the liberal theory goes...).

Just how high will we go before we either go belly-up or run out of things to bail-out?  Considering the health care bill (which will be passed, unfortunately), future medicaid and medicare bail-outs, and the looming social security crisis (the biggest bail-out yet to come), I would estimate (wildly guess) that total national debt figure to be around $20,000,000,000,000 (20 trillion).

It is at the $20 trillion point that President Obama would suddenly jump aboard the constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget to save the nation from itself (I mean himself), and require the government to spend an amount each year no more than it takes in each year (a more draconian and much less gimmicky version of "pay-as-you-go").  The national debt would then be frozen at $20 trillion.  And it would stay that way for many years, requiring a huge percentage of our annual tax revenue for interest payments each year that are unavoidable.  It will stay that way until the GDP (gross domestic product) hopefully grows so large that the $20 trillion debt looks miniscule by comparison.  It would most likely take several decades for this to happen, if at all, during which we would suffer through rampant inflation, a crashing dollar, high taxes, putting up with China bossing us around (they own $4 trillion of our debt in the form of bonds), and the rise of an Islamic super-state (Muslim nations joined together by force or "anschluss") which we would be powerless to stop (no money, no muscle).

There is only one problem with this plan.  It won't work.  It is all contingent on the hope that we will continue to be an economic powerhouse with an ever-increasing GDP, and that without muscle our nation would still be able to leverage in foreign affairs in order to protect our economic interests abroad.  It would be contingent on China NOT getting fed up with us and cashing in the $4 trillion in bonds we sold them, or for that matter not attacking Taiwan during our condition of weakness.  It would be based on interest rates not going up and causing the interest on the debt we pay each year to be unmanageable.  To put it simply,...it would have to defy gravity.  And it won't.

Now get off your butt and get involved.

Obama Has Long Pattern of Indifference To Plight Of Others

I have seen a few postings online (like this one), and have heard a few radio talk show hosts touch on the oddness of Obama's press conference regarding the mass shooting at Ft. Hood a few days ago.  When President Obama is supposed to make a statement about the shootings, which should be top priority at that point to reassure the public that things are under control, he puts it down the list of topics to cover after laughingly giving a shout-out to a medal winner in the audience, etc...The general consensus is that Obama doesn't seem to care about the plight of others.  Each blogger or radio talk show host relating their outrage over Obama's insensativity also mentioned either the people rebelling in Iran and how Obama ignores them while they're being slaughtered, or our soldiers being hung out to dry in Afghanistan while Obama hems and haws on whether to send more troops to the rescue or pull them all out.  These are very good examples.  But after giving it some thought, I came up with several more:

  1. Turning 9-11 Anniversary from a day of infamy on which we were attacked by terrorists into a National Day of Service, thereby watering down the true meaning of the day and doing disservice to the memory of those murdered in the attack.  Is that not an insensative slap-in-the-face to the friends and relatives of those who perished?  Is that not an offense to New York City, the great city who was attacked?  Is that not an insult to every American who cried that day or felt fear?
  2. Although it seemed mildly bothersome at the time, Obama's visit to Ground Zero with Senator John McCain was quite revealing.  When laying roses at the exact site of one of the towers Senator McCain bent down, and with much care, gently laid his rose among the other items of remembrance put by others.  But Obama, while standing erect, tossed his rose on the pile like a piece of garbage on a heap.  He served to reminded one of a self-absorbed, aloof teenager being ordered by his parents to show respect he did not feel.
  3. Cap and Trade.  President Obama's environmental plans are at best draconian and at worst economically suicidal.  He has been quoted as saying that he will intentionally bankrupt the coal industry to "save the planet," thereby throwing hundreds of thousands of middle class people out of work.
  4. And worst of all--- The Born Alive Infants Protection Act was first proposed and passed by the Illinois State Legislators when Barack Obama was merely a state senator.  It was proposed because of a new type of abortion called the Induced Labor Abortion which caused babies to be delivered prematurely, after which they were either strangled outside the womb or left out on a table to die from suffocation  (those born prematurely cannot breathe on their own).  On the IL Senate floor, Obama was the only one to speak out against the bill banning this procedure.  When it came up for a vote he voted "present" thereby voting NO.  The You Tube video below showing then nurse Jill Stanek being interviewed by Bill O'Reilly fills in the details of the horrific procedure.  When a similar bill came before the US Senate, it was passed by a 98-0 vote.  Only the most cold-hearted could find a way to vote against this bill, and Obama is that cold-hearted.

Did Obama Drag His Feet On Afghanistan To Win Nobel Prize?

Frankly I didn't know he was nominated.  And why should he be?  Only 12 days into his administration and the Nobel people nominate him because he "intends to" save the world from imperialist America?

I was surprised....and then not so surprised.  After all, didn't they just give it to Al Gore?  And before him wasn't Arafat the honored recipient?  At least Jimmy Carter did things that qualified him to be nominated (not so sure if he deserved it, though), so how honorable can the prize be when you look at the list of recent winners?

Even so I try to make an effort to make some kind of sense of the situation.  I speculate about what connection this strange event might have with other strange events ---like why Obama was dragging his feet on making decisions about whether or not to send more troops to win the good war.  You would think by now he would have looked at the situation there in Afghanistan and decided that eight years was too many and pull our troops out,...OR send 200,000 troops over there and finish the job quickly.  But instead, he sits and fiddles while Rome burns....while our troops continue to die in combat.

So did Obama intentionally drag his feet on sending troops to Afghanistan in order to insure winning the Nobel Peace Prize?  Does this sound like an unfair question?  Is it any worse than the nasty assumptions the LEFT made about the intentions of President Bush?  Perhaps the Nobel Committee would have rebuked Obama had he escalated the Afghan conflict...  And we can't have that!

The Joint Chiefs and Gen. Petraeus agree with Obama's own hand-picked Gen. McChrystal on the urgency of sending 40,000 more troops to do the job and beat the Taliban.  But Obama hesitates.  Got a better explanation?

Domestic Distraction Becomes International Embarrassment: Obama Loses Olympic Bid

Incredibly, President and Mrs. Obama (along with Her Majesty, Oprah) could not convince the Olympic Committee that Chicago is the Bethlehem of America where the Messiah was born... Okay, that was cruel. Let's try that again...

The Olympic Committee, too smart to buy into the usual Obama barrage of his self-inflated ego (his story, or Michelle's father's Multiple Sclerosis story), failed to be convinced that Chicago was their kind of town for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

Past presidents, including Jimmy Carter surprisingly, were all too smart to make the trip to Copenhagen or wherever to lobby for the US to host the games, because without a guaranteed pick it's a break-even or lose situation --break even if we get it and lose if we don't. And when the leader of a country, and I don't care which country, spends months trashing his own country's reputation on one apology tour after another, he/she won't have much credibility when it comes time to sell the notion of how wonderful we are and deserving to play host to the Olympics.

Another reason Obama blew it is that anyone can see what direction the US is headed with its $12 Trillion debt and the likelihood of it doubling. Where will the US be 7 years from now in 2016? Likely bankrupt at the current pace. Who wants to have an Olympics in a ghost town of a dust-bowl nation? Even though Brazil is much poorer (GNP) than we are, they are growing in the right direction and will be even more powerful economically by 2016. Spain will probably still be coasting along like it has since Barcelona, but at least not bankrupt.

What I cannot understand is why Obama didn't push the fact that in Chicago the home team almost always loses. That would be great for the other countries competing against us, and one would think, a positive message for each Committeeman to take back to his/her homeland. It would have been a slam-dunk, IMHO. He could've made the presentation wearing a Cub's hat to drive the message home.

The networks were shocked. The people of Chicago waiting for the news in Daley Plaza were stunned like little ducklings smacked on the head. They wandered about aimlessly twitching their heads, asking "how could this happen?" With the exception of Team Jordan, all Chicago teams take their fans to the brink of victory and then collapse in defeat. It's usually the law of nature in Chicago, so it should have come as no surprise to them. But they continue to hope for change in their own naive kind of way....

Can you tell I'm enjoying this a little bit?

Child Sexual Abuse Downplayed By Media And Left Wing

Child sexual abuse is in the news yet again, along with some surprising reactions to it.  Two stories come to mind, the new Safe Schools Czar and Roman Polanski.  First the former:

I don't remember the name of the first Czar to be appointed by President George H. W. Bush (the first to appoint one) but he was the Drug Czar and the only one for a time.  I recall hearing some congressmen voice concern over someone being appointed without congressional vetting, hearing, or consent.  It seemed a bit of an overreaction a the time (being that there was only one), but they were reassured by the president that he wouldn't start appointing them willy-nilly.

Enter President Obama...  There are simply too many Czars to keep track of.  But this latest flap is going down over a man, Kevin Jennings, who was recently appointed as the Safe School Czar  and who had a history of illegal drug use.  There was in immediate attempt to justify such a history as to make it appear to be an experience from which much useful wisdom had been acquired, even though he has yet to proclaim his behavior as wrong, stupid, or dangerous.

Now we hear that as a young, gay(?!?) teacher he was confided to by a student who was a victim of forced homosexual sex by an adult pedophile.  But Mr. Jennings failed to make any attempt to protect the young boy from future sexual attacks.  He did not report it, nor did he try to stop it.  Read the full story at Michelle Malkin's blog.

President Obama's Czar appointees seem to be suffering from some perverted version of the Peter Principle.  Rather than being promoted to the level of their incompetence, they are promoted BECAUSE (or in spite of) it.  It brings to mind Chicago's Mayor Richard J. Daley (the first Daley and King Maker) and all the incompetent fools appointed by him to oversee various city services which continued to be colossal failures.  Mike Royko wrote an illuminating book about this several years ago called BOSS.  It's still a good read, and Royko's humor is still funny today.

Movie Director Roman Polanski was caught in Switzerland by American authorities for an incident that occurred  30 years ago in which he forced 13 year old Samantha Geimer to have anal sex after filling her with quaaludes and alcohol.  He has been dodging American authorities ever since, but now sits in jail having been convicted years ago after a guilty plea (then released, then told to return to jail, at which time he fled).

Ala from Blonde Sagacity brings to light three Puff Ho (Huffington Post) pieces defending Polanski in spite of his behavior.  And liberals are supposed to be pro-women???

Geimer wants the incident behind her and calls for Polanski's freedom.  The crime occurred 30 years ago.  BUT...  what  precedent would that set to let him go?  And what if he decides to attack another 13 year old?  He did it once before and no conversion of any kind has been documented.  So why not again?  Did he not have sex with a then-underage Nastasia Kinski, though voluntary?  It's still statutory rape.  As sorry as I am for Polanski's wife (Sharon Tate) being butchered by the Manson "family," I just don't think Polanski should be walking free.

The Main Stream Media seems to have little outrage over either of these stories.  Yet it seems like just yesterday they were spitting mad over pedophile priests in the Catholic Church, calling for their heads and the heads of the Bishops above them.  I guess it depends on whose ox is gored.  Media bias?  Or media complicity?!?  You be the judge.

Obama Jugend Indoctrinated In NJ (And Elsewhere?)

B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, NJ is the setting for this latest Obamanation, which can make one barf if one spends too much time thinking about it.  But we should make sure that as many people as possible spend at least a little time thinking about it and imagining the ramifications.  Read the whole story at Michelle Malkin's blog.  This is not Iran, Cuba, China, the old Soviet Union, or Nazi Germany.  For Freedom's sake, let us not allow our country to become any of those.

Of course this is not the first Obama indoctrination of children.  "Mmm mmm mmm Obama" is a mere extension of "Yes we can can can, yes we can can can..." from election season.  Remember THAT?  Someone included a creative comparison between music and archival footage which I have used here before...

2 Million Strong Turn Out For Taxpayer March On Washington DC

ABC News (see update below) and Michelle Malkin both estimate 2 million protesters turned out for the National March On Washington today, which was not only peaceful and orderly, but downright polite.  Of course some of the signs were not too polite, but that is to be expected when people feel betrayed by their government.  I was there and took well over 100 pictures.  Some of these will be posted here and most of the rest can be found at FLICKR <---click there!  All 138 photos have been added.  There were so many great signs from wonderfully creative folks, that I'm sorry I couldn't include them all on one post here.

The purpose of the March On DC was not to say we are against health care reform.  The vast majority are actually for it, just not socialized medicine.  No, the theme of today's protest in which the people attending outnumbered Obama's inauguration turnout was a cry against run-away government spending.  It was against arrogance, malfeasance, Marxism, despotism,  and a sycophantic media kowtowing to "the one."

The liberal wing nuts with their war bongos and unwashed hordes could take a lesson from the 2 million who turned out today:  no pushing and shoving, no garbage left in the streets, no death threats for stepping on some guy's sneakers, and no emotional chants lacking logic or reasoning.  Everyone was wonderfully polite and  courteous to each other and even to the one dissenting voice whose sign I would include if not for its obscene nature.  No one punched them, scratched them, threw beer or soda upon them, or tripped them, even if they thought of doing so.  We conservatives and patriots are an orderly bunch, even during an uprising.

Enjoy the pictures, and remember...if you click on them you can make them larger.

UPDATE: ABC news is now claiming they were misquoted and that the crowd was actually in the 10's of thousands. I was there. I have also been to the Rose Bowl (1984) that holds around 76,000. There were several Rose Bowls of people on The Mall yesterday. And 2 million seems like a rational number if you consider that many people left after a few hours while others were arriving late morning/early afternoon. My figure stands for the sum total for the day.  They were elbow to elbow back to 8th St. I know that because when I left to find a men's room (lines to port-o-potties on site were too long) that's how far it stretched. The Daily Mail agrees with Michelle Malkin and myself.

Dragnet Duo Lectures Obama!

A great little snippet from Dragnet with Obama footage thrown in.  President Hussein gets the lecture he so desperately needs.

Isn't it a shame we have to go all the way back to the early 1970's for a Dragnet episode to find someone on a TV show espousing the virtues of freedom?  Is it any wonder that kids today don't understand?

GOP Runs Powerful Ad Against Obamacare: 'Disinformation'

The President is proving himself once again to be inconsistent with the truth with regards to his intentions. Being nothing new, those of us who have watched him do this since he started running for high office sit back and marvel at the lack of objective coverage in the MSM. Then we mention it to those of you curious enough to seek the truth through Google, Yahoo, AOL, and Bing searches. And the beat goes on....

Elderly Are Not Happy With Obamacare Or AARP

The only thing missing from this townhall meeting is the group of SEIU union thugs sent by the President, or DNC, or perhaps Sebelius, or whomever to bash heads and shut those old people up permanently so they never get in the way of Obama (or Rahm Emanuel) again. I love the older Latina toward the end who stands against illegal immigration.

From Bookworm with regards to the above video:

[The playbook would be as follows:

How to run an AARP meeting, Leftie style:

1. Open a meeting with elderly people by talking in a swift, inaudible mumble? Check.

2. Assert a whole bunch of assumptions with which your audience instantly disagrees? Check.

3. Scold your audience for not getting with a program ostensibly for their benefit? Check.

4. Shut down the meeting because it turns out your constituents were supposed to listen to you, not vice versa? Check.]

Hypocrite!

His poll numbers were expected to go down during the first two years of his administration, and they are. They do for every President. They even went down for Clinton. But with information like this cropping up, the magic of Obamamania could permanently lose its sheen. Still too early to say, though, since the Main Stream Media still ignores most bad news about Obama, and the MSM shapes the nation's opinions (sad to say).

So much information. So little time to keep up with it. The more things happen, the quicker each news item drops off the front page into oblivion and away from our country's short attention span. Who has the time? Right? And that is how our politicians will get away with spending us into bankruptcy.

Some Catholic Organizations Seem Overzealous For Obamacare -- In Spite Of Abortion Mandates

There are some conflicting signals being sent out by a few major Catholic organizations regarding President Obama's health care bill. It would seem that Catholic Charities, The Society of St. Vincent De Paul, and the Catholic Health Association have been very gung-ho for the bill in spite of the lack of abortion exclusion or lack of support of a health care workers' freedom of conscience.

The three organizations have teamed up to create videos demanding health care reform now and refer to those of us who want smaller, cheaper reforms as those who are against all reform.

Read the full story in LifeSiteNews with update by clicking HERE.

The life issue is not a small one in the Catholic faith, in fact it is quite a major issue. And while health care for all seems to support this notion, it is my humble opinion that subtracting protection for preborns and eliminating conscience clauses for those who do not wish to stain their hands with the blood of late term abortions is a total sell-out of the Catholic faith. If you are willing to do this, then please do us all a favor and join another church. You are Catholic in name only. Read your Catechism: 2270-2275!

Obama: The Most Fiscally Irresponsible President In History

Visuals can be very effective ways of communicating a point. President Reagan knew it when he showed us a dollar bill and asked us to picture them stacked all the way to the moon ---that was our debt at the time.

Now Obama is taking this country for a ride at 174mph and likely to run us (and the rest of the world) off a cliff when the world economy collapses under the weight of enormous debt to gnp. Check out this video above, courtesy of 10000Pennies. Read my past rant HERE.

STOP THE ABORTION INDUSTRY POWER-GRAB

For those of you who don't already know, Obama's proposed economy-crippling-health-care-bonanza has a recent addition to it in which abortion coverage will be mandatory. The implications are far reaching and are not limited to the following:

(From LifeSiteNews) --

  • Impose one of the cornerstones of the Freedom Of Choice Act by stealth.
  • Force taxpayers to fund a huge abortion industry bailout---something the majority of Americans oppose and certainly cannot afford in these tough economic times.
  • Mandate that virtually every American be forced into a health plan that includes abortion coverage.
  • Require honorable medical providers to violate their consciences and perform abortions---or risk losing their jobs.
(end of excerpt)

Pro-lifers everywhere should be getting involved to stop this....AND THEY CAN! They can click HERE to register (for free!!!) for Thursday's urgent nationwide webcast which features several well known speakers, from former presidential candidate and Governor Mike Huckabee to my own Congressman Joe Pitts (seen above in video).

This upcoming vote is considered to be the most important vote on the abortion issue since the Judicial Fiat of Roe vs. Wade. Get involved!

It was just the other day that it was discovered that preborn babies have memories! Well, they have souls, too!!!

"Bring An End To This False Prophet, Obama" --- Jon Voight

Here is the speech by actor Jon Voight everyone is talking about. How refreshing it is to hear someone from Hollywood, who isn't afraid of having doors of opportunity slammed in his face, stand up and tell it like it is and take Obama to task, not only on how he got elected President but how he plans to run this country off a cliff in four years or less.

I have been rather quiet for the past few months on Obama, not hitting him nearly as hard as I might considering the embarrassment he has caused this country in his travels and at home. But until recently I have thought it a useless endeavour trying to convince the overzealous and insanely fanatical that Obama was a dangerously poor choice for Commander-In-Chief until these nuts have personally felt the pain and anguish from their irresponsible decision. A good case can be made that until you do, nothing in the world will change their minds. They cannot see what a vapid, self-absorbed opportunist Obama is because they have invested so much emotion and religious fervor in the idea of him, even after viewing his Middle East speech...or any other speech in which Obama relates his OWN personal story...it's all about ME, babes...

As time presents itself, I will be hitting Obama along with so many others...until the Main Stream Media either gives in and acknowledges his stupidity, or goes bankrupt from lack of subscribers.

The Notre Dame Speech Of Barack Hussein Obama

I was too busy doing something quite trivial to tune in to listen. But Jill Stanek was there. Read her account by clicking HERE.

This was the arrest yesterday of Father Norman Weslin for daring to sing Ave Maria on Notre Dame property. Another example of an Obamanation.

Good thing they tied him up, else he would have turned into Jackie Chan and worked them over proper.

Obama's walk is nothing like his talk.
