For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ---Ephesians 6:12

DNC Chair Pulls A Boehner And Adds God To Platform Anyway

It is amazing how quickly a well run campaign like Congressman West's can seize upon current events and weave them into a really effective ad for their candidate when you're working with really good people.  It was only a couple of nights ago that the Democrats were railroaded at their convention by a reluctant Los Angeles mayor into re-attaching "God" and "Jerusalem as capital of Israel" to their Party Platform.  The "NO's" actually had it... THREE TIMES!!!  But the Godly or goodly mayor pulled a "Boehner" and pretended he heard more "yea's" than "no's," and the measure passed.  From what I'm told, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was directly responsible for the missing items in the first place, causing this embarrassing and REVEALING moment for the world to see, opening the eyes of many believers in Christ who still (for whatever reason) vote Democrat that their Party has left God by the curb.

On a personal note regarding the lack of blog posts...  I've ignored many opportunities to post some really great videos of the RNC and other great items as I've been engrossed by Facebook.  Without endorsing FB, I can say it's more comforting to see that over 200 "friends" will see FB posts of mine and "like" or "share" the items rather than wait for and untold number of strangers to stumble upon my blog posts.  I will still blog from time to time, but not on a high priority.  And any absence of blogging does NOT mean I'm not active out there...

The Democrats do not need to "restore" God.
For unlike Republican hypocrites, they LIVE their values. Honestly.
The Republicans real god is MONEY, and THEIR saints are those
who have LOTS of it....and want it ALL.
Those Republicans who would destroy Social Security & voucher Medicare to death,
who would cut Pell grants, and who readily admit they “don’t care about the very poor”
should stop, remember, and take to heart the ancient words so relevant for today:
“Whatsoever you do for the least of these - you do for me”.
There is God in each of us. And that is why we are bound to each other.
If we do not believe that, and act upon that - then we are lost.
As the Catholic Bishops agreed : The politics of Romney/Ryan masquerades as values
...while harming those who are most at risk.
Their proposed agenda does not praise God - it mocks God, it defiles God. And man...

The Democrats need to stop abandoning God and removing Him from their platform. This convention is a mockery of God and of "doing for the least of these" (babies in the womb) as they attack the Life issue and lie their way through their speeches. I don't consider that living one's faith, unless one's faith is in oneself.

Obama raised over $500 million dollars and was backed by several billionaires, including George Soros, who is anything BUT Christian.

As far as the Bishops go, ...http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/bishops-dolan-morlino-and-aquila-defend-vp-pick-ryans-catholicism.

Stanchaz, I can understand your frustration regarding the direction your party has gone, but to come here and spread more lies doesn't do you, your party, or the other frustrated Christian democrats any service to their credibility. I've never heard one Republican say they didn't care about the poor. I'll pray for you.

Matt, you are a good man, and I am glad you are still blogging, albeit not very often.

As for Obama and the Democrats, I find it reprehensible to see an occasional car parked outside of my parish with Obama2012 stickers on it. How in God's great earth can one support a man who's support of abortion is more extreme than most pro-choice advocates even is?

Further, his HHS mandate, if left unchecked is going to remove my 1st amendment rights and that of the Catholic Church's to practice their faith. If not repealed, I wonder if the church will simply not comply or will shut down their hospitals rather than concede to provide contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortifacients.

Keep up the good work, Matt. I am praying that there are more Christians that understand Obama and many of the Democrats hatred of God voting than there are those that vote for Obama in ignorance.
