Here's a tribute by Brit Hume I snagged from Hot Air on Tony Snow, who died yesterday morning of colon cancer at age 53. He was a man of faith who was well-loved by his coworkers and peers, as well as millions who saw him on television or witnessed his duties as White House press secretary.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ---Ephesians 6:12

American Patriot Jesse Helms Passes Away
Former North Carolina Senator and patriot, Jesse Helms passed away early this morning of natural causes at age 86. How fitting it is that he would die on July 4th, of all days, just like John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.
A polarizing figure but a decent and very polite man, is how many of his colleagues have described him. "Senator No" was his nickname among mostly Democrats, but he fought on the right side of issues like abortion, downsizing government, gun control, and others that we still fight over today.
Like Ronald Reagan he was once a Democrat, but switched parties when his political philosophy was no longer welcome among members of the old party. A staunch ally of Reagan and all things conservative, former Senator Jesse Helms will be missed.

Tim Russert Dies Of Heart Attack
Tim Russert, host of Meet The Press, died today of a sudden and massive heart attack after returning to work following a vacation in Italy. His family was returning from the vacation when they were notified of the news.
NBC News has lost its only fair commentator and round table host, who held everyone's feet to the fire with equal firmness. And our nation has lost a great family man and man of faith. He will be sorely missed and seldom equaled by his peers in the business.
