Today in Washington D.C., Pope Benedict addressed nine US cardinals and 350 bishops and told them that basically, Americans are not living their faith. He said the following:
"Faith becomes a passive acceptance that certain things 'out there' are true, but without practical relevance for everyday life," he said. "The result is a growing separation of faith from life, living 'as if God did not exist.'"
Since it's getting late (for me, past my bedtime), I will simply refer you to the article HERE, where he said much more..."Faith becomes a passive acceptance that certain things 'out there' are true, but without practical relevance for everyday life," he said. "The result is a growing separation of faith from life, living 'as if God did not exist.'"
