For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ---Ephesians 6:12

Girl Sits During Pledge, Another Girl Criticizes Her And Gets Suspended. Why?

Let me get this straight...  One girl decides to sit during the Pledge of Allegiance in school and another girl criticizes her for doing so.  The latter gets a 5 day suspension from school.

Is it the right of the sitting girl to sit during the Pledge?  Yes, though disrespectful, it is her right under the First Amendment.  Is it not also the right of the criticizing girl to criticize the sitting girl for doing so?  Sure!  For the same reason...unless the sitting girl is Muslim.  Welcome to the Obamanation.

While there was supposedly a reference made by the non-Muslim girl regarding the hajib worn by the Muslim girl in the verbal exchange, that should not take away the former's right to answer such a blatant display of disrespect shown by the Muslim girl, IMHO.  I see it as a wash, and no punishment should have been doled out.  It should have instead been a "teaching moment" to be taken advantage of.

Is this one of many reasons why home schooling is so popular these days???

Great Pro-Life Advocate Bishop Martino Resigns

The Diocese of Scranton, PA, and for that matter the rest of the nation as well, has lost a truly great advocate to the pro-life cause.  Joseph F. Martino, the Ninth Bishop of Scranton, has resigned from his office, citing poor health due to increasingly heavy stress over conflicts within the diocese.

From the Bishop:

"For some time now, there has not been a clear consensus among the clergy and people ... on my pastoral initiatives or my way of governance," said Bishop Martino. In addition to causing him "great sorrow," said the bishop, the stress from the friction caused him to suffer from insomnia and "crippling physical fatigue."

There are so few bishops these days who are willing to deny pro-abortion politicians Holy Communion who publicly champion such causes.  Bishop Martino has held firmly on this issue with several politicians, most recently Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) who supported the current President's trashing of the Mexico City policy.  For that and many other reasons Bishop Martino earned a position on my left column under the heading "Catholic Leaders I Admire Most."

Obama Administration Continues On Path Of Appeasement

Most people these days are distracted, as usual, from the disturbing trends shaping up in Obama's America which are all but ignored by NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and most liberal newspapers, but those of us who know where to tune in realize these trends and attempt to make them known to you.

For instance, I'll bet most people don't know that President Obama made this speech shown above a few days ago and actually made this comical statement...

"These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings..."

...though some recall he made an Easter speech to Europe in which he bashed our own country repeatedly, and then later ignored our National Day Of Prayer.

You might not even be aware that Obama, at the behest of Sen. Schumer, has attempted to turn 9-11, and everything for which it stands, up on its ear by transforming it into a National Day of Service, thereby nullifying what Obama sees as a right-wing-day-of-fear and instead creating a leftist Marx-fest.  As the Left has done with the Holy Bible, after abandoning a movement or issue they claim the other side hijacked (but didn't), they then attempt to trash and upend the movement.  Add national security and fiscal responsibility to the list (the latter of which the right almost abandoned at one time...).

And did you by chance hear that Libya's own Gadhafi is coming to America?  He plans to address the UN Assembly and then literally pitch a tent at a Libyan owned estate in Englewood, NJ, just a few miles from Manhattan, and stay a while.  The State Department has issued no opinion on the matter (I called them an hour ago, and you can too!  See below), nor has Obama that I am aware of.  If he does it might ring every bit as hollow as his outrage over the Pan Am Flight 103 bomber being released back to...Libya, where he arrived to a hero's welcome.

Per Michelle Malkin, here is the address and phone number for the State Dept.:

Good-bye Dell! Hello MacBook Pro!!!

Today I liberated myself from the awful drudgery of Windows and PC's...and best of all, DELL!  Not to say I threw my Dell computer in the trash after lovingly smashing it to bits.  No.  My warranty is still good on that no-good-heap-of-you-know-what until July of next year.  But today I borrowed a company car and drove to the Apple Store in Columbus, OH and bought myself a MacBook Pro.  Yes, I could have waited until Snow Leopard (new operating system) comes out on the 28th, but the upgrade is only $29 or so, and it is so hard to find the time to shop for Mac computers while I am out on the road working...  I did it and I'm glad.

Dell ran its course with me.  Been a customer since '99 and ran through three of them.  The first two were Cadillacs of their time, but by the third one it was clear that Dell was losing its position as the best of its breed.  The last three years as a Dell customer have been painful.  I wish them a full recovery...without me.

Soon I will be posting as usual... but first I must undergo a conversion process and leave the past behind.  I must convert to a new way of thinking and leave Windows in the dust.  I must think like a leopard...or better yet, a snow leopard.

GOP Runs Powerful Ad Against Obamacare: 'Disinformation'

The President is proving himself once again to be inconsistent with the truth with regards to his intentions. Being nothing new, those of us who have watched him do this since he started running for high office sit back and marvel at the lack of objective coverage in the MSM. Then we mention it to those of you curious enough to seek the truth through Google, Yahoo, AOL, and Bing searches. And the beat goes on....

Elderly Are Not Happy With Obamacare Or AARP

The only thing missing from this townhall meeting is the group of SEIU union thugs sent by the President, or DNC, or perhaps Sebelius, or whomever to bash heads and shut those old people up permanently so they never get in the way of Obama (or Rahm Emanuel) again. I love the older Latina toward the end who stands against illegal immigration.

From Bookworm with regards to the above video:

[The playbook would be as follows:

How to run an AARP meeting, Leftie style:

1. Open a meeting with elderly people by talking in a swift, inaudible mumble? Check.

2. Assert a whole bunch of assumptions with which your audience instantly disagrees? Check.

3. Scold your audience for not getting with a program ostensibly for their benefit? Check.

4. Shut down the meeting because it turns out your constituents were supposed to listen to you, not vice versa? Check.]

Hypocrite!

His poll numbers were expected to go down during the first two years of his administration, and they are. They do for every President. They even went down for Clinton. But with information like this cropping up, the magic of Obamamania could permanently lose its sheen. Still too early to say, though, since the Main Stream Media still ignores most bad news about Obama, and the MSM shapes the nation's opinions (sad to say).

So much information. So little time to keep up with it. The more things happen, the quicker each news item drops off the front page into oblivion and away from our country's short attention span. Who has the time? Right? And that is how our politicians will get away with spending us into bankruptcy.
